Getting Started
Namaste (Greetings)!
And congratulations on getting started!
What do you need to practice yoga? Aside from an open mind and a rubber yoga mat (recommended for safety, but you can also use a towel if you don’t have a mat), not much. However, the below are also recommended for comfort and ease:
- Comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely
- Two yoga blocks
- One throw blanket
- Yoga strap
That’s it! Now check out the “postures” “sequences” and meditation” tabs to begin.
Note: While yoga may be practiced by people of all ages and backgrounds, please remember that you know your body, and I do not. Before beginning a new exercise regime, it is important to use caution and recognize your body’s limitations. If you are working with any injuries, experience discomfort of pain, or suffer from a medical condition, you should consult your doctor.
